Balloon ride from a fixed launch location
With Bertels Ballooning you can choose between a standard balloon ride or a private flight. Standard balloon rides can be booked for just one person or for a group. You share the balloon basket with other balloon passengers. We set a meeting time before sunrise in Wommelgem and we drive in a Bertels Ballooning car or van to one of our fixed launch locations for a balloon ride above Antwerp or the Antwerp Campine. Flights at sunset are also possible.

Private balloon ride with launch location of your choice
Would you prefer a private balloon ride closer to home? No problem! We can even fly above your home, with a group that you choose yourself. The balloon basket is then reserved exclusively for your group. The ideal gift for a birthday, Valentine's Day, a communion or a family outing. So wonderful, high up in the sky—now that is pure quality time with your family and loved ones. Why wait? With a private balloon ride, you choose one of the Bertels Ballooning launch sites or you propose your own launch site. This is possible throughout the Benelux. As for the rest, private ballooning is the same as the standard balloon rides.
Ballooning is weather-dependent
Ballooning safety and comfort are our main priorities. That is why a balloon flight is subject to a number of meteorological conditions. Wind direction, wind speed and the stability of the weather at time of the flight determine whether or not a hot-air balloon may lift off. If you book a morning flight, you will get a phone call the evening before. If you book an evening flight, then we will call you in the early afternoon. At that time, we will let you know whether we can fly and at what time. In case of unfavourable conditions, we will not take-off, but we will set a new date.
Reserving a balloon ride far in advance is possible, but it is not necessary. Whether you will be ballooning alone, as a couple or in a group, we will always try to be flexible about your date preferences.
